Grant possesses the ultimate "can do" attitude. Most Vice Presidents work from remote locations in fancy offices, or jet-setting between countries in the company Jet. Grant is nothing like that stereotype. He'll often sit in a cubicle in the open office. And it isn’t as intimidating as one would imagine. It is motivating. You observe him taking on tasks with a positive energy and a smile. Not just delegating, but taking ownership and following up. His upbeat personality and engaging personal style make him engaging to any staff member, and people from across the company are forever chatting to him: Client Services staff, Finance Analysts, Operations Engineers, Project Managers, Sales staff. 

Grant is very well organized detail-oriented person. I'll mention something to him during a conversation, and the next week he'll ask how that went. I remember one day when Grant named each of the various data-centres PGi had, how many particular nodes in each, the type of service each node had and the building's specifications in terms of it's disaster recovery abilities. He is very much involved in all aspects of Operations, and becomes an SME on any project. 

You witness him taking initiative to go beyond the expected parameters of his role. And I think that's the strategy, to lead by example by showing ownership, initiative and diligence - right there with the Ops team in Sydney, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur or New Jersey."
